We form handling units for storage and transport of one to n items with divers inventory qualifications. They occur in form of picking HU, transport HU, shipping HU with packages, bins in warehouses (European pallets, industrial pallets, cage pallets, small part HU).
The inventory HU are containing is managed independently of bin locations.
It is differed between “homogenous HUs” and “inhomogeneous HUs”. Homogenous HU serve the application of filled pallets and the HU receives the characteristics of the goods. Inhomogeneous HU are used for application of mixed pallets and packages.
Transport HUs provide put away, relocation and retrieval of goods.
Bin HUs are used for storage of items, according pallets, bins, trays, cage pallets and further containers.
From bin HUs, items are packed for shipping. Every Shipping unit forms a package of the according delivery. To shipping units belong as well e.g. pallets and shipping cartons.
