More and more companies introduce EAN-Codes (barcodes) for goods management.
In the COGLAS system, a mapping table, which structures customer and data specific contents, can be provided for easy handling by the management. Data can be used via loop back scanner but as well via scanner network.
New RFID technology is supported by COGLAS Logistic Suite too. This permits to quickly integrate RFID tag marked goods, bins, pallets etc. into the logistic environment of industrial companies and logistics service providers. The module Barcode / RFID can import standard IPC codes, decipher this and realize data mapping.
Barcode / RFID labels are basically used for transport order processing to control transports. As an example, EAN13 item numbers are deposited to item master data. Such labels can be scanned for validation of transport orders to receipt those.
Additionally, customer and client specific labels (master and movement data) and client specific texts, containing all information from COGLAS data base, can be printed.
