A condition for modern companies’ ability to work is the storage of information.

Traceability of material movement data is guaranteed by the COGLAS Logistic Suite either by an accounting history in the production system or by an archiving system. The archiving system is in charge to keep mass data over a longer period and establish a high-performance production system. All business processes e.g. goods receiving, stock movement into the quality control warehouse, put away into the automated small parts storage and all other inventory changes are primly archived in the booking history and subsequently into the archiving schema. 

The archiving system is a separated data base schema. Corporately important decisions are copied from the production system into the archiving schema according to defined time intervals. The archiving process can be configurated to take place by the week, month or year. Business processes as well as corporately important decisions are only archived, if the archiving feature in the production system is staid. The archiving feature can either be manually or, according to given rules, automatically be placed. Depending on the constellation, the archiving schema can optional be built on the data base server of the production system or on a separate server. Registration in the archiving system occurs after the login data control.

After the retention period has come to an end, data can be transmitted and filed onto other storage media.

Additional schemes e.g. test, quality and training schemes are provided for quality and safety reasons.

The transfer tables implemented for data exchange with extern systems are excluded from archiving. These are adjusted according to freely definable time intervals. This occurs independent of the archiving.
